LSEG opens new office in Gdynia

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) celebrated its new office in Gdynia, Poland with an opening ceremony hosted by David Schwimmer, CEO, LSEG, David Shalders, Chief Operating Officer and Erica Bourne, Chief People Officer. The ceremony at LSEG Tower was attended by people from LSEG’s Gdynia office, Leszek Bonna, Deputy Marshall of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, Wojciech Szczurek, Mayor of Gdynia and other dignitaries from Gdynia’s City Hall, representatives from economic associations, the University of Gdansk, and organisations supporting LSEG’s office relocation.

ARTSTAL becomes another beneficiary of Invest in Pomerania 2020 grant programme

ARTSTAL S.C. Andrzej Regliński, Piotr Regliński from Somonino became the next beneficiary of the ‘Invest in Pomerania 2020’ grant competition. The obtained funding of nearly 800 000 PLN will help in the revitalisation of the land and facilities after the former poultry slaughterhouse. In its place, a modern warehouse facility will be built, supporting the company’s growing customer base.

Northvolt will build Europe's largest energy storage systems factory in Gdańsk  that will employ 500 people

Northvolt, whose mission is to ensure the future of energy, is increasing its production and R&D capacity thanks to a $200 million expansion in Gdańsk . The new plant, which will start operations in 2022, will be established in the Pomeranian Investment Centre. It will have an initial annual production capacity of 5 GWh and a potential future capacity  of  12 GWh.

This time, an e-commerce company received a grant for development as part of the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition

SisCom from Gdynia received support in the amount of PLN 800 thousand. PLN. for the expansion of the warehouse, which will allow the company to strengthen its position as a key supplier in the sector e-commerce on the Polish market. The contract for co-financing the investment was signed by representatives of the company and the Pomeranian Development Agency implementing the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” grant competition. This is another company that obtained funding from EU funds allocated by the decision of the Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.

800,000 PLN of support for the project of handling unconventional heavy goods as part of the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition

Another company from Pomerania received funding under the grant competition “Invest in Pomerania 2020” implemented by the Pomeranian Development Agency. The Kuszner Cargo Port company will allocate the funds obtained to the preparation of a storage yard and a warehouse for heavy unconventional goods and for the needs related to intermodal transport of sea containers. The investment in Gdańsk Rudniki is estimated at over PLN 2.5 million.

Cargo Lift is another company from Pomerania that received funding for development as part of the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition

The Pomeranian company Cargo Lift, as the fourth company from the voivodeship, has signed an agreement for investment co-financing under the “Invest In Pomerania 2020” grant competition. The project involves the construction of a new reloading and storage base in the village of Wocławy, in the Cedry Wielkie commune. The company specializes in the reloading of non-standard sea transport goods.

Another grant agreement under the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” scheme signed by a company from Rumia Invest Park

The third contract was signed as part of the “Invest In Pomerania 2020” grant competition. The project by Atlas Poland will receive a subsidy in the amount of PLN 800 thousand for the preparation of land for the investment along with the construction of a warehouse and workshop hall in Rumia Invest Park. This is another company that develops its activities thanks to the conditions created by the authorities of the City of Rumia and the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship

Digiteum starts operations in the 3cITy!

Digiteum, a full-stack software development company, based out of Minsk has opened its offices in the Tricity. Digiteum is one of the first beneficiaries of the Come2Pomerania initiative by Invest in Pomerania and the Poland.Business Harbour program by the government of Poland.

Lions in the Tricity! LEO Pharma starts operations in the 3cITy

LEO Pharma, a leader in medical dermatology is starting a global business service center in Tricity. The center will initially focus on roles within the Global Supply Chain and Procurement. Through 2021 the intent is to further add services from  Finance and HR reaching a team size of approximately 75 specialists within the four functions. As the center and functions mature LEO Pharma expects to further add to the teams through 2022 reaching a size of 100 employees.
