Another grant agreement under the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” scheme signed by a company from Rumia Invest Park

The third contract was signed as part of the “Invest In Pomerania 2020” grant competition. The project by Atlas Poland will receive a subsidy in the amount of PLN 800 thousand for the preparation of land for the investment along with the construction of a warehouse and workshop hall in Rumia Invest Park. This is another company that develops its activities thanks to the conditions created by the authorities of the City of Rumia and the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship

The company Atlas Poland has been operating in the Pomeranian Voivodeship since 2002. It deals with the sale, rental and servicing of machines used in construction from the moment of selecting machines to taking over full responsibility for their technical service. The company’s offer includes specialized machines used in railways and industry as well as parts for these machines.

The company offers specialized machines for special tasks. We are present, inter alia, in the development of the Pomeranian maritime economy. We are very pleased that our investment has received financial support, which we also treat as a distinction and a kind of recognition for our actions. We are glad that we can continue our activities in Rumia using the opportunities of Rumia Invest Park. – says Marcin Kanik, Commercial Director at Atlas Poland Sp. z o.o.

The company’s headquarters is located in Rumia Invest Park, a zone prepared by the City of Rumia in order to attract investors. The company managing the zone, established in 2017, has land intended for industrial and service purposes. Several companies have already benefited from its offer, including Atlas Poland.

Rumia is a unique place attracting investors thanks to the Rumia Invest Park offer. Thanks to the initiatives of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, tools such as grants for the development of companies are created, allowing companies to stay in Pomerania and increasing the income of local self-governments and creating jobs for the inhabitants of the commune. – adds Agnieszka Rodak, President of Rumia Invest Park.

Representatives of the company and the Pomeranian Development Agency, implementing the “Invest In Pomerania 2020” grant competition, signed an agreement under which the company’s investment, estimated at almost PLN 5.2 million, will receive PLN 800,000 in funding. The project involves the preparation of an investment area with an area of 1.26 ha, the construction of a warehouse and workshop hall with a social part with a development area of approx. 1450 m2 and land development with the so-called small architecture and greenery. Ultimately, as a result of the implemented investment, additional 11 employees will be employed.

By the decision of the Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, PLN 10.4 million was allocated to the competition for grants to support Pomeranian medium and small enterprises. The main goal of the competition is to finance the development of the SME sector, including companies whose operation and development were negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Co-financing may be granted to projects implemented in Pomerania and consisting in the preparation of new investment areas, both for own economic needs and for commercialization for a third party.

We all realize how difficult it is to achieve your business goals in times of a pandemic and its limitations. We are all the more pleased that we can support local SME companies in a bold step in the evolution and further growth of the grant competition. Their success will certainly be the success of Pomerania and Rumia, where the company is growing – adds Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The competition lasts until the allocation is expended and then the reserve list is expended. At present, 16 applications have been submitted for a total investment amount of almost PLN 57 million. In accordance with the competition regulations, applications may be submitted until a total of 150% of the allocation value is exceeded, ie PLN 15,600,000. Currently, applications can only be submitted to the so-called reserve list.
