This time, an e-commerce company received a grant for development as part of the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition

SisCom from Gdynia received support in the amount of PLN 800 thousand. PLN. for the expansion of the warehouse, which will allow the company to strengthen its position as a key supplier in the sector e-commerce on the Polish market. The contract for co-financing the investment was signed by representatives of the company and the Pomeranian Development Agency implementing the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” grant competition. This is another company that obtained funding from EU funds allocated by the decision of the Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship.

The SisCom company was established in 2006 in Gdynia. Systematically expanding its activities, it has achieved a stable position on the market. The company provides home furnishings, sports equipment and children’s accessories via the Internet. Its activity has already been distinguished several times in the rankings of the best online stores in the following categories: sports, articles for children, health and beauty.

The key element of the company’s logistics operations is the warehouse facilities, which, in accordance with the signed contract for financing the investment, will be significantly increased. The total value of the extension is estimated at almost PLN 16.5 million. and apart from the warehouse hall, it also includes preparation of the ground for construction, expansion of the plumbing and sewage system, 40 parking lot parking spaces and development of green areas. The investment is located at Gdańsk airport.

The e-commerce market is currently one of the fastest-growing sectors of the Polish economy. In order to stay on it, constant investment and adaptation to new needs are necessary. Our investment is to ensure us not only a stable position but also further development. Thanks to the new warehouse possibilities, we will also be bolder and bolder in thinking about export expansion, where we are also active today. Thanks to the grant, we will increase our sales opportunities and increase employment by another 20 people – says Sebastian Didyk, Partner at SisCom s.c.

The funds allocated by the Board of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for investment grants come from the Regional Operational Program for the Pomorskie Voivodeship. The competition that is being carried out enables the financing of the development of the SME sector, including companies whose operation and development was negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thanks to the obtained funds, 16 companies will realize investments for almost PLN 57 million. According to the competition regulations, applications may be submitted until a total of 150% of the allocation value is exceeded, and the maximum project funding is PLN 800,000. PLN. Today, interested companies are accepted only on the reserve list.

I am convinced that the funding granted under the competition will support the rapid development of this company that operates on the demanding online sales market. Constant and quick adaptation to needs is crucial here. As for the entire grant competition, we hope that it will be a significant development impulse for the SME sector and the region’s economy, adds Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Subsequent contracts under the “Invest In Pomerania 2020” grant competition for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Pomeranian Voivodeship will be signed successively.
