Pomerania Entrepreneurship Forums

By launching and supporting economic initiatives of regional significance, Pomerania Development Agency pursues its main objective i.e. driving region’s sustainable development. This principal duty has been achieved by building up a coordinated system of enterprise support within the project - Network of Business Environment Institutions.

The thee stage project involved, inter alia, implementing the idea of bringing local entrepreneurs and business support institutions together. It took the form of regular meetings called Pomerania Entrepreneurship Forums. The meetings facilitate the transfer of good practice, knowledge and experience between the business support institutions and entrepreneurs and they give opportunity to monitor the quality of services provided by SME sector.
With growing interest among entrepreneurs in participation in Pomerania Entrepreneurship Forums, Pomerania Development Agency will continue to organise the meetings in the future.

The first Pomerania Entrepreneurship Forum was held on 27th of October 2006 in Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia. It took the form of one day meeting directed at established entrepreneurs and people considering setting up their own business. There were about 40 exhibitors and 200 participants.

The second Pomerania Entrepreneurship Forum was held on 29th of March 2007 in Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia. The Forum was attended by 250 people - entrepreneurs, the representatives of business support institutions and universities as well as individuals interested in starting their own business.

The third Pomerania Entrepreneurship Forum was held on 6th of March 2008 in Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia. The main issue addressed at the Forum was the opportunities of obtaining  EU financial assistance from national and regional programmes. The Forum mainly focused on the EU schemes directed at micro entrepreneurs and SME sector.
