800,000 PLN of support for the project of handling unconventional heavy goods as part of the “Invest in Pomerania 2020” competition

Another company from Pomerania received funding under the grant competition “Invest in Pomerania 2020” implemented by the Pomeranian Development Agency. The Kuszner Cargo Port company will allocate the funds obtained to the preparation of a storage yard and a warehouse for heavy unconventional goods and for the needs related to intermodal transport of sea containers. The investment in Gdańsk Rudniki is estimated at over PLN 2.5 million.

This is the fifth entrepreneur who has received financial support from EU funds as part of the grant competition prepared by the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship – “Invest in Pomerania 2020”. As a result of the call for applications conducted by Agency, four contracts have already been signed. The obtained funds will be allocated by the companies to the adaptation of land for investment purposes along with the construction of basic infrastructure as well as production and storage buildings. The effects of the first projects are already visible.

The Kuszner Cargo Port company has received funding to prepare the area for the reloading and storage of heavy goods, often oversized. The condition for the implementation of this type of service is the appropriate preparation of the square with high pressures and the possession of specialized unloading equipment. The unloading and loading method developed by the company, consisting of the synchronized operation of several dedicated devices, enables efficient implementation of the ordered services.

The partners of the Kuszner Cargo Port company have several decades of experience in the transport and port service of sea containers inland traffic. We know this market very well and we are sure that the new investment is the missing link in the logistics chain in intermodal transport – says Krystian Kuszner, Partner at Kuszner Cargo Port Sp.j.

Currently, 16 companies are participating in the competition. Each of the selected projects can count on co-financing in the amount of up to PLN 800,000. Thanks to the obtained grants, 13 new industrial and warehouse investments will be created, implemented by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and 16 ha of new investment areas will be added to Pomerania.
